Columbus Day 2014 Celebration in New York City

A vibrant, long-standing New York tradition since 1929, the Columbus Day Parade travels north along Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street and now involves over 35,000 marchers and more than one million spectators. The colorful parade, cosponsored by the Generoso Pope Foundation, was founded by the Columbus Citizens Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Generoso Pope in New York City to foster an appreciation of Italian-American heritage and achievement.

The Generoso Pope Foundation sponsored the event and had a float in the parade.
