New York State Comptroller Honors David Anthony Pope

New York State Comptroller, Thomas P. DiNapoli, hosted the Italian Heritage Month Reception at the Generoso Pope Foundation. The event took place on October 23, 2019 in the Anthony J Pope Memorial Lecture Hall. David Anthony Pope, was honored by DiNapoli, for his efforts in preserving and promoting the Italian culture.

Other honorees included, Antonio Capicotto, John DeCicco Sr,  Joan Prezioso. and Tony Signorile. Acclaimed Italian Tenor, Luciano Lamonarca, performed at the reception.

David is the founder of the Westchester Italian Cultural Center. The one-of-a-kind center opened it’s doors in 2007 and has welcomed tens of thousand of people ever since. This beautiful center, the largest in the nation, is in a grand 10,000+ square foot building, which was formerly Tuckahoe Village Hall. Various rooms include exhibit rooms, wine cellar, library, dining room, lecture hall and a full state-of-the-art kitchen.
